How to make Quick and Easy Garlic Bread
Garlic bread is a great side dish to accompany pastas, soups and salads, and can even be served as an entree. When prepared properly, garlic bread should have crispy outer edges, while remaining soft on the interior. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Small bowl
- 1 stick butter
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 loaf of French or Italian bread
- Serrated bread knife
- Aluminum foil
- Baking sheet

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees

Place one stick of butter in a small bowl. Soften butter by microwaving for 15 to 20 seconds

Combine 1 tablespoon garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, ½ teaspoon oregano and 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese.

Add dry mixture to softened butter; mix thoroughly.

Slice the loaf of bread into pieces 1 to 2 inches wide using a sharp serrated knife. When slicing the bread, do not cut completely through; leave a small connection at the bottom of the loaf.

Spread the butter/garlic mixture onto the bread between each slice; spread remaining butter along the top of the loaf. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese on top of loaf.

Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and place on a baking sheet.

Bake bread for 15 to 20 minutes.

Tips & Warnings
For a crispier bread, open the foil after 15 minutes and bake for an additional five minutes.
