How to Find Military Discounts

Are you a member of the military, active duty, reserve or retired, or a family member? You may be eligible for discounts by simply showing your military ID!

      Always ask if a retailer offers a discount! This is especially true near military bases- retail stores and restaurants often offer a 10% discount for showing your military ID. Fast food restaurants such as McDonald's, Burger King and Dunkin Donuts often offer discounts. Airlines, hotels, car rentals, and new car dealers etc. often have special rates for military members.

      Cell phone companies offer discounts on their plans to both military and federal employees. AT&T/Cingular's discount is almost 20% off the monthly rate. Ask your cell phone company if they offer a discount and take advantage of the savings!

    Great tips on How to Find Military Discounts. Some civilian supermarkets also give you a 10% military discount. Shoprite grocery stores (on east cost) provides a military discount card in combination with it's frequent shopper loyalty card. You get your supermarket discounts and then a 10% military discount. It's available to retired, active, and reserves. Thanks 5*

    Great advice! Verizon Wireless also offers a big discount for military members--I've been getting 15% off for 3 or 4 years now.
