Making warm Apple Crisp is a easy-to-make delicious healthy snack with heart healthy oats and fresh fruit, it hits the spot just when you're craving something sweet.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 c. apples peeled/sliced
  • 1/2 c. light brown sugar (packed firmly)
  • 1/4 all purpose flour
  • 1/4 c. quick oats
  • 1/4 c. raisins
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. apple pie spice
  • 8x8 pan or deep pie pan
  1. Step 1

    First, peel, core and slice the apples (Red Delicious apples work best)
    Place the sliced apples in a large bowl.

  2. Step 2

    In the bowl of apples, pour in the brown sugar, flour, quick oats, apple pie spice, raisins and butter. Toss the ingredients thoroughly so that the apples are well coated with the mixture.

  3. Step 3

    Place in a pan and bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes or until the apples are tender.

Tips & Warnings
  • Optional: (Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.)
