Remove Fat From Chicken Broth

Are you on a low fat diet or would you like to reduce your fat content? Here is an easy way to reduce fat in your chicken broth.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Homemade chicken broth
  • Refridgerator
  • Slotted spoon
  1. Step 1

Pour the homemade chicken broth in a bowl. Place on top shelf (close to freezer) in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

  2. Step 2

The fat in the broth will rise to the top and become solid. Take a slotted spoon and skim off the fat. It will be hard like butter

  3. Step 3

If you are using Homemade Clear chicken Broth use the slotted spoon the skim to the edge of bowl to remove.

  4. Step 4

To the left is the clear chicken broth and to the right is the regular chicken broth. This process makes the broth about 95% fat free.
