Your characters in the PC role-playing game Planescape Torment can have magical tattoos inked onto their bodies that will give them special abilities and powers. The tattoo artist you meet will have different tattoos available for you, depending on what quests you have completed so far in the game. If you go into the city called the Dead Nations and learn how to speak with the deceased, you will be able to get the Bonesinger Tattoo.

Instructions
  1. Step 1
    The Dead Nation
     
    The Dead Nation

    Play through the game until your reach the area called the Dead Nation, which is underneath the city of Sigil.

  2. Step 2
    Talking to Stale Mary
     
    Talking to Stale Mary

    Head to the west side of the area and speak with the ghoul named Stale Mary. Ask her to teach you to speak with dead people.

  3. Step 3
    Talking to Hargrimm
     
    Talking to Hargrimm

    Find the undead priest named Hargrimm and agree to help him rid the town of the monsters called cranium rats, in exchange for allowing your party to leave.

  4. Step 4
    A cranium rat
     
    A cranium rat

    Go down the southwest tunnel and kill all of the cranium rats that are hiding there. Return to Hargrimm and tell him that the deed has been completed, so he will unlock the gates to the city.

  5. Step 5
    The Bonesinger Tattoo
     
    The Bonesinger Tattoo

    Leave the Dead Nation and go to the southeast section of the Hive in the city of Sigil. Head into Fell's Tattoo Parlor and speak with the tattoo artist, who will have the Bonesinger Tattoo available for you to purchase.

Tips & Warnings
  • A character who wears the Bonesinger Tattoo will be able to use the spell called "Hold Undead."
