Shampoo and condition your hair as you normally would. After you rinse out the conditioner, allow your hair to remain damp. Squeeze the excess water out with your hands and not a towel.
-
2
While wet, your hair's natural curl should be prominent. At this point, use your fingers to comb through your hair. Section your hair into four sections, using a hair band.

3
Use a non-alcohol based hair gel, preferably with aloe vera in it, and rub it into the palm of your hands. Take a section of your hair that is still damp and smooth it in. Using your fingers, again comb it through the section of hair. Repeat this step on each section.

After you have applied the gel to your entire head, finger comb to blend in all the sections together. Then, use a blow dryer on low heat to set the finished style.
