The Lucky House Card Game is a combination of Texas Hold 'em, along with card games based on trick taking. Players have three different chances to receive a card that can win the trick. The player with the highest-ranking card in the suit of the face-up "house card" on the table wins the hand. The player that wins the hand wins all the wagers made during the hand of the Lucky House Card Game that are in the pot.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Find some friends to play the Lucky House Card Game. The minimum number of players is two and the maximum is eight. The ideal number of players is between five and seven.

  2. Step 2

Direct each player to ante an agreed upon chip into the pot to start the hand. Deal one card face down to each player. Players may look at their own face-down card.

  3. Step 3

Deal a face-up card into the center of the table--this card should be dealt face up. This is known as the house card. Players are competing to have the highest value card in the suit of the house card at the table to win the pot.

  4. Step 4

Conduct the first round of wagering. This round begins with the player sitting to the left of the dealer.

  5. Step 5

Deal a second card face down to each player and conduct a second round of wagering. This round begins with the player sitting two seats to the left of the dealer.

  6. Step 6

Deal a third and final face-down card to each player. Conduct a final round of wagering, which is started by the player sitting three seats to the left of the dealer.

  7. Step 7

Reveal the face-down cards for each player that has not folded. The player with the highest card in the suit of the house card wins the pot.

Tips & Warnings
  • Players may fold whenever they wish during the wagering rounds of the Lucky House Card Game, but they are eliminated from that hand and will not receive additional cards.
  • This is a game where a lot of bluffing can occur. If you have a face card in the suit of the house card do not be intimidated into folding too easily.
