1
Use a dark enamel paint and paint "#1 Dad" on the front of a light-colored mug. You can also use phrases like: "I Love You Dad" or "Best Dad in the World." A child can draw a picture of her dad or the best day they ever had together on the mug. Put the mug in the oven and bake according to the paint manufacturer's suggestions to make the paint become permanent.

Glue some fishing embellishments on a plain wooden frame. You can find all kinds of fishing things in your local craft store. If your dad is into camping or a sport, you can use them instead. Allow the glue to dry for about an hour and insert your favorite picture of you and your dad.

Select a blank glass paperweight at your local craft store. Use a glue that dries clear and place a picture of you and your dad in the opening at the bottom. Allow the glue to dry for about an hour. Cut a piece of felt to fit the bottom of the paperweight and glue it on around the edges at the bottom. Let the paperweight sit on top of the felt for about a half-hour to let the glue set.
