Things You'll Need:
- Internet connection
- Postage supplies
- Digital camera
- Online photo-sharing account
-
Step 1
Round up all of your diapers and decide what fits and what needs to be traded or sold. Before you package these diapers up, set them aside in a basket designated for holding diapers for sale.
-
Step 2
Take pictures of your diapers. Diapers without pictures will not sell, so lay out a dark-colored blanket on the floor or on your bed, and lay your diapers open so that you can see the inside. Snap your pictures, and then close up your diapers and take another shot that way.
-
Step 3
Sign up for an account with diaper-selling websites and online communities. You can sign up with auction-style sites or forum-style sites, or both (see Resources below). Memberships are free and sign-up is simple.
-
Step 4
Upload your photos to PhotoBucket or any online photo-sharing website. The website will walk you through this free process (see Resources below).
-
Step 5
Create a new post in a forum-style website in the buy, sell or trade area of the message board. Alternately, you can set up a post on an auction-style site.
-
Step 6
Paste your code from the photo-sharing site into the new post. You may have to resize your pictures to make them fit in the messgae board format. The site will have guides on how to do this.
-
Step 7
Add a written description of each diaper to your new post. Include information such as condition, snaps or velcro, fabric material, good for overnight or just day use, and any other important facts. Be very truthful and objective. No one wants a package of stained diapers when they thought they were buying stain-free. These same rules should be followed on an auction-style site.
-
Step 8
Preview and then publish your post to the message board or auction website.
-
Step 9
Check your post and your private messages for potential buyers. Bump your thread up by making a post twice a day to keep it noticeable. Drop your price after 3 days if no one has made an offer for your diapers.
-
Step 10
Take the first buyer who pays promptly. If someone else is interested after you have already chosen a buyer, let them know that they can have the diapers if the current buyer fails to pay.
-
Step 11
Send your package with delivery confirmation the day after you receive the funds from the buyer. Include a note of appreciation for the purchase. This is how you create positive feedback and get more buyers down the line.
