How to Create Personal Stationery in Microsoft Word
Creating personal stationery may inspire you or your family to write letters and keep in touch with others through old-fashioned correspondence. Designing stationery that reflects your personality can be done in Microsoft Word. Even if you are not a computer or graphics expert, you can construct professional looking letterhead that represents your personal brand, allowing you to stay in touch with elegance, class and style.

Open Microsoft Word and go to “File.” Select “New blank document”.

Go to “View” and click “Header and Footer.”

Enter your name or your family’s name while the cursor is inside of the header section.

Adjust and customize the alignment of the text as well as the color, size and type of font.

Click “Switch Between Header and Footer” on the header formatting toolbar. When the cursor moves to the footer section, enter your home address, telephone number and email. Adjust the alignment, color, size, and type of font to your taste.

Click “Close” on the formatting toolbar. Check your stationery to see if it looks the way you want. Go back and adjust font styles or colors if necessary.

Go to “File” and select “Save as” when you are satisfied with the design. On the format drop-down menu, select “Document Template." Save your file with a name like personalstationery.dot.

Create a new document based upon your template when you want to use your stationery.
