How to Print a Scanned Photo on a Canon MP970 Printer

Canon’s MP970 printer boasts a sleek, elegant design that works will for either home or business environments. Employing Canon’s extensive experience in photo printing technology the MP970 is like having a photo lab right in your home. The MP970 combines printing, scanning and copying technologies with quality, speed and features that are easy to learn and quick to use. One of the cooler features of this printer is its ability to print scanned photos without the use of a computer.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Canon MP970 Printer
  • Compatible Photo Paper
  1. Step 1

    Insure the printer is turned on. If the printer is not on press and release the power button located in the upper left-hand corner of the control panel.

  2. Step 2

    Pull the sheet feeder cover out to its fully opened position. Pull the paper support out until it stops. Pull the paper output tray down and open the output tray extension. Press and release the paper feed switch, located on the bottom left hand side of the control panel, until the rear tray lamp lights.

  3. Step 3

    Pinch the paper edge guide and slide it to the far right of the rear paper tray. Insert photo paper into the rear paper tray with the print side up. Pinch the paper edge guide and slide it to the left until it is snug but not binding against the paper.

  4. Step 4

    Select the Easy Photo Reprint option on the Home screen. Press and release the OK button in the center of the control panel. Select the Select and Print option on the Home screen. Press and release the OK button. Verify the Paper Source, Paper Size and Media Type are correct then press and release the OK button. Select the Next option then press and release the OK button.

  5. Step 5

    Press the right or left arrow buttons to scroll through the scanned photos on the printer. Once the photo you wish to print is displayed in the LCD press the + or – key to determine the number of copies you wish to print. Repeat this process for each additional scanned photo you wish to print. Press and release the OK button to display the print confirmation screen.

  6. Step 6

    Press the Color button to begin printing your scanned photos in color. Press the Black button to begin printing your scanned photos in black and white.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can cancel your print job by pressing the Stop/Reset button.
