The game "Flip Cup," which is also known as "Cups," is a drinking game popular with college students. Drinking games are activities that revolve around getting buzzed or drunk. You do not have to drink to play Flip Cup, although the point of the game is somewhat moot if no one is consuming alcohol. There will, however, still be a clear winner at the end of the game if no alcohol is used. Simply fill the cups with a non-alcoholic beverage and play as usual. Do not play drinking games if you are under 21.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Plastic cups
  • Beer or other alcoholic beverage
  1. Step 1

Split the players into two teams. There must be an even amount of players on each team.

  2. Step 2

Line one team on one end of the long table, and one team on the other end. Each team member should have an opposing teammate facing them.

  3. Step 3

Place one cup in front of each player. Fill each cup with the same amount and type of alcoholic beverage. Flip cup is usually played with beer, but it can also be played with wine, cocktails or mixed drinks.

  4. Step 4

Begin playing the two players closest to the right side of the table. Similar to a relay race, these two players begin drinking. Once they are finished drinking, they will place the cup on the edge of the table and try to flip it face down onto the table by flicking their finger against the lip of the cup. The player to the right can begin once the cup is flipped over.

  5. Step 5

The winners are the team to finish their drinks and flip their cups first.
