Cleaning CDs With Bananas

A scratched CDs is annoying. You don't want to buy a new one, and you might not know how to fix it. A trick that you might not be aware of is using bananas to fix the scratch in your CDs.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Banana
  • Windex
  • Dry paper towel
  1. Step 1

    Take scratched CD out of the CD player.

  2. Step 2

    Cut a banana in half lengthwise. Don't peel it yet, because you will want the peel to hold onto.

  3. Step 3

    Hold onto the half of a banana and rub the fruit part all over your CD. Be sure that you get it into all of the surfaces on the CD. Do this in a circular motion. Rub the banana on the CD for about a minute.

  4. Step 4

    Now turn the banana over and rub the peel on the CD in a circular motion for a few seconds.

  5. Step 5

    Use Windex and a paper towel to clean the remnants of the fruit off of the CD.

  6. Step 6

    Enjoy your clean, non-skipping CD!

Tips & Warnings
  • Doing this gently from time to time can be a great way to clean all of your CDs.
  • Don't push too hard or you might damage the CD.
