The classic Halloween skeleton can be altered for expectant mother. The skeleton gets a little twist with a baby skeleton visible through the bones in her stomach. The black sweatshirt and sweat pants will keep your warm and comfortable on Halloween. This lets you have a cute, photo-worthy costume to celebrate your pregnancy.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Black sweatshirt
  • Black sweat pants
  • White felt
  • Fabric glue
  • White face paint
  • Black lipstick
  • Black body paint
  • White body paint
  • Pacifier
  1. Step 1

Trace bone shapes onto white felt. Use your own body as a guide for lengths. Trace two bones between your hand and elbow. Trace two between elbow and shoulder. Trace two for your thighs and two from knee to foot for each side of your body. Cut out small C-shaped bones about two inches wide for vertebrae. Finally, cut six slender ribs for each side of your rib cage.

  2. Step 2

Assemble the bones on a black sweatshirt and sweat pants. Place them in the appropriate places. Secure with fabric glue. Leave the rib cage high enough so the pregnant portion of your stomach is clear. Line the vertebrae up from the neck of the sweatshirt to the bottom of the ribcage to make a spine.

  3. Step 3

Cut a small skull shape from white felt and glue it to the center of your pregnant belly. Cut out miniature arm and leg bones with fingers, toes, ribs, and a spine. Glue all the bones to make a baby skeleton on the stomach of the black sweatshirt.

  4. Step 4

Use black paint to add circles for the eyes and nose. Cut a small slit where the skeleton's mouth would go. Stick the nub of a pink or blue pacifier through the slit. Let the baby skeleton suck on a pacifier.

  5. Step 5

Paint your face and exposed hands white. Use black lipstick to outline your mouth. Draw circles around your eyes. Fill in the circles by coloring in your eyelids and under your eyes.

  6. Step 6

Go out and enjoy yourself. Be prepared to get compliments and shocked looks in your direction.
