Offer to do some of the cleaning. There are certain spots that need cleaning in her home, such as the floors and the bathtub, that may be difficult for your friend to clean by herself. Offer your time to help her do the tasks and cleaning that she is unable to do.

Go with your friend to doctor appointments. She may not have anyone else to go with her, so this is a good opportunity to consider stepping in. Ask your friend if she would like you to go with her. Not only will it possibly ease her mind to have you there, but she’ll appreciate you going out of your way to be there for her.

Give her interesting reading material. There are so many beautiful books meant for expectant and new mothers. There are also several magazines devoted to being pregnant and having a child. Consider buying a book or two for her that she can read in her spare time. You may also want to give her a magazine subscription to a magazine that she may enjoy reading.

Offer to babysit if she already has children. It can be quite stressful to be pregnant and when you add kids into the mix it can that much more so. Bringing them with you when you have to run errands could be quite difficult. Consider offering babysitting services for your friend. It will give her a chance to go relax, get some things done or just have some time for herself.

Run some of their errands for her. If your friend isn’t feeling well but needs errands done, you could offer to do some of them for her. Even if you are running your own errands, such as at the grocery store or post office, call to see if she needs anything. It will save her from having to make a separate trip out.
