How to Create a Cross Reference Using Microsoft Word 2000
A cross reference in Word 2000 is a "pointer" in a document that attracts your attention to information in your current document or another one. An example of a cross-reference would be "For more information, see page 10." Word allows you to create a hyperlink cross-reference to this information so that users can click on it and be taken directly to the reference. This saves time because you do not have to scroll manually to the reference. This guide presents a simple approach to including cross-references in your documents.
