How to Make Eco-Friendly Bathroom Cleaner
Non-toxic, eco-friendly cleaners are available in almost any store. Making your own ensures their safety though and when they're not made in a factory, there is even less of an environmental impact. Homemade cleaning products can be much less expensive than buying them off the shelf. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 1/2 cup baking soda
- 1/8 cup liquid detergent
- 1 tsp. vegetable glycerine
- Washcloth
- Clean, empty jar or tub
- Wooden spoon

Put 1/2 cup of baking soda into the jar.

Pour 1/8 cup liquid detergent into the jar a bit at a time, stirring constantly. Add more or less detergent as needed to make the mixture a thick lotion consistency.

Add 1 tsp. vegetable glycerine to the mixture so it will keep in the jar.

Dip a clean washcloth into the mixture, then apply it to your sink, counter top, bathtub or shower.

Let it set for a bit if you have stubborn grime to remove.

Scrub the mixture with the washcloth, then rinse. To rinse from counter top, rinse then wring out the washcloth. Wet the washcloth and wipe off the cleaning mixture.

Tips & Warnings
This mixture isn't very gritty, but test it on any surface in a small area before using. If you have certain types of soft counters, it might be too abrasive.
