Rock Band 2's box says that it comes with 100 songs, but that is a little misleading. The disc actually only has 80 songs on it, and you will have to register your disk on the official Rock Band website before gaining access to the additional tracks. Luckily, registering your disk is a breeze, and before you know it you'll be able to rock out even harder with your copy of Rock Band 2.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the Official Rock Band 2 registration site (see Resources below). The link to this site is not readily visible from the main site, so it is a good idea to just go directly to the registration site rather than look for the link on the main page.

    • 2

Grab your copy of Rock Band and pull out the paper insert that was included in the game case. Note: This is just a single page insert and not the game manual.

    • 3

Type the 16-digit key into the space provided on the website and include your email address and birthday. If you are not over 13, you will not be able to register the game as it is rated "Teen," and as such is intended for players 13 and older.

Click the submit button and wait for the next screen. You will have to fill out a short questionnaire about your gaming habits and any new content you would like to see in future titles. After you answer all the questions, hit the submit button again.

Check your email. A confirmation message should arrive in a few minutes. When you receive it, click on the confirmation link.

    • 6

Wait a few weeks. The specific date for the new tracks has not been announced yet, but when it does come you will recieve a code in your email along with download instructions.
