Make a Paper Plate Pot of Gold

A pot of gold can be found at the end of a rainbow. This is a common story told on St. Patrick's Day. It isn't true of course, but children still like to tell it. When children are getting ready for St. Patrick's Day they like to make crafts to celebrate the day. One of the crafts they can make is a paper plate pot of gold. This craft uses common household items so there is no need to purchase anything from a craft store. Does this Spark an idea?

    • 3

Cut the pot of gold out with scissors.

    • 4

Paint the pot black or dark gray.

    • 5

Paint the coins gold. If you don't have gold, yellow will do.

    • 6

Sprinkle gold glitter on the gold coins. Do not get any on the pot. This gives the gold coins a sparkle. The glitter sticks to the paint so no glue is needed.
