Imagine being able to print postage right in your home. You can save time and headache by using Stamps.com to print postage. You'll save on gasoline as you no longer have to head out to the post office when you need to mail a package or envelope. You can even make personalized stamps with your very own photos. Here are a few tips to getting started on Stamps.com and never having to stand in line at the post office again.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Sign up for a Stamps.com personal or business account. Once you sign up, enter your payment information and then download the easy-to-install software.

  2. Step 2

Each time you print postage from your computer using Stamps.com that amount will be deducted from your account, using the credit card you gave when you signed up. You will also be charged a $17.99 service fee monthly.

  3. Step 3

Stamps.com will send you a free digital scale, $25 in free postage, a supplies kit and a 4-week trial just for trying the service.

  4. Step 4

To use your Stamps.com account, enter an address to send a package or envelope to. This can be stored in your personal address book or entered manually. Weigh your item on the free digital scale, which goes up to 5 pounds. You will then be told how much the postage is, and you can print it out.

  5. Step 5

Using Stamps.com saves you trips to the post office and lets you know the estimated delivery time. Your recipient will even receive an e-mail notification of the coming package.
