Instructions

    • 1

Fill mixing jar or bowl with about 1/2 cup of mayo. You will need more or less depending on the length of your hair. For shoulder length hair use a 1/2 cup. Use real mayo, not salad dressing. The acidic qualities will remove residue build up in hair.

    • 2

Mash up 1/2 of a banana, and add to mayo mix. Sounds odd, but the banana will be the ingredient that softens the hair. If you prefer, cantalope or avocado can be used instead.

    • 3

Add a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Mix thoroughly into the conditioner. The vegetable oil is the key to giving your hair that gleaming shine afterwards. The oil will also work to tame split ends and flyaways.

    • 4

Mix in a tablespoon of baking soda. Baking soda is a deep cleansing agent and should not be skipped.

    • 5

Mix conditioner thoroughly and use right away. If needed, the conditioner can be stored in the refrigerator for a short time as well.

Tips & Warnings

  • Condition once a week for normal hair, twice a week for dry or damaged hair.

  • Each ingredient has its own qualities, skipping one will result in a less than desired product.
