How to Visit Fast Eddie's Diner in Phoenix, AZ

There are only a few diners in Phoenix where diners can sit on stools at an old fashioned counter or at comfy vinyl booths and enjoy burgers, fries and malts. One of these is Fast Eddie’s, a friendly and unpretentious neighborhood hangout on the Valley’s west side that has all the diner favorites along with lively atmosphere and reasonable prices.

Nab one of the window-view booths and enjoy a hearty breakfast while people-watching along busy Glendale Avenue. One side of the diner is lined with windows and plastered with 1950s-style memorabilia. It’s cheerful, kitschy and upbeat. The eatery also features a couple of wall mounted TV atop the long soda fountain counter, if you’d rather catch up on news or sports while you nosh.

Cruise over to Eddie’s on Saturday mornings to ogle classic cars in the parking lot. Several car clubs patronize the diner for early morning breakfast rides. You may see a Model A or Model T, Studebaker, classic T-Birds, muscle cars and more. Leave your diet at home and order the no-cholesterol-barred breakfast special with two eggs, homefries, toast and lots of black coffee, for about $5. Or go for the plate-size pancakes swimming in butter and maple syrup. Other breakfast entrees include omelets, eggs with ham, sausage or bacon and breakfast cereals and pastries. Plan to spend under $10 per person at breakfast time with tax and tip.

Besides burgers, there are hot and cold sandwiches, chili, soups and a selection of gigantic salads such as Cobb, chopped chicken and chef. With a malt, shake or coke, plan on spending about $12 to $15 per person with tax and tip.
