Things You'll Need:
- Deck of playing cards
-
Step 1
Gather a small group of friends together to play the Four Rows Card Game. The Four Rows card game requires at least two players, and has a maximum number of four players allowed in the game.
-
Step 2
Deal nine cards to each player. These cards are dealt face down, and each player may look at his own cards. Also, deal four cards face up in the center of the table. These form the four playing piles.
-
Step 3
Explain how cards can be played on the playing pile to each player. A card can be played on a pile if it is the next card higher or lower in the same suit as any card that is showing on top of one of the four playing piles, it must be played on that pile. A card can also be played on any pile that it matches the rank of. Finally, a six can be played on any nine, and a nine can be played on any six, this is the only situation where suit is irrelevant.
-
Step 4
Describe the wild cards in the Four Rows Card Game. Tens are always wild and can be played on any pile. If a player plays a ten she must announce the value and the suit of that card. The six of hearts is a special trump card, it can be played on any card on any pile. The player that plays the six of hearts can then play any card he wishes, on top of the six of hearts.
-
Step 5
Choose the player to the left of the dealer to take the first turn. He can play as many cards as possible, that are legal plays from his hand.
-
Step 6
Continue playing, taking turns going around the table in a clockwise rotation. Remember that players are not limited to just playing one card on their turn. She can play as many cards as possible that are legal plays. A player passes if she can not make any legal plays. If all players at the table pass, the dealer deals four new face up cards, one on each pile and play resumes.
-
Step 7
Continue playing until one player is out of cards. That player is the winner.
