1
Use cookie cutters to trace a Christmas shape onto the foam. Use shapes like a snowman, mitten or a wreath. You can use a large glass to make a circle for a wreath and then something smaller and round to trace out the center circle. They should be about 4 inches long to leave enough room for a picture.

For a snowman, cut out black pieces for the hat and boots. For his boots, cut a little wider than his body and round off the sides. Use a red piece to give him a scarf and a piece above the brim of his hat. Draw on his face with the markers. Below the scarf, cut out a circle from his stomach. Glue all the pieces together and glue a picture on the back facing forward. Glue a piece of ribbon to the back of his hat to hang him on the tree.

For a wreath, glue red pompoms in clusters to look like holly berries. Tie a piece of ribbon into a bow and glue it to the bottom of the wreath. Put a picture on the back and glue it facing forward. Use ribbon to make a loop and glue to the back of the top of the wreath.

For a mitten, cut a white piece to look like fur. Glue some pompoms across it to make it look fancy. Cut a whole in the center of the mitten for the picture. Glue on the picture and the ribbon loop to hang the mitten.

Cut out a few stockings from the foam. Cut the white pieces that are the fur at the top of the stockings. Cut small pieces to decorate the front of the stockings, like wreaths, trees or bells. Cut some snowmen from white foam. Use black for a hat and red for a scarf and mittens. Then, cut a rectangle piece that will go between his hands. This will be the part you will write on so make it a color you will be able to see.

Glue all the pieces onto the stockings. Decorate the wreaths with little pompoms and ribbon. Put a Christmas tree on one and use pompoms for balls and sticky star at the top. Put a pompom at the bottom of the bell to look like a ringer. Write the name of the person you are making the ornament for on the white part at the top. Use the ribbon to make a loop and glue to the back. Write the year on the back to remember when you made the ornament.
