Step 1
Go shopping along the Christmas Steps. This is one of the most famous tourist areas in Bristol. Beyond St. John's Gate, walking through Christmas Street will eventually lead you to Christmas Steps, which is a charming and ancient alley that was paved back in 1669. Now, the street is lined with many souvenir and antique shops.

Step 2
The beautiful Port of Bristol on the Avon River is home to many restored and converted warehouses and wharves. This is a wonderful place to feel like you've been transported into a time machine back to the beginnings of the Harbor. Be sure to check out the various museums, including the Bristol Industrial Museum.

Step 3
Check out the Clifton Suspension Bridge. This is one of the symbols and main landmarks of Bristol. Spanning the two-hundred and sixty feet deep Avon Gorge, this seven-hundred and two feet bridge was completed in 1864, thirty-three years after the the idea of it was first born. This sleek bridge is a must-see for any visitors to Bristol.

Step 4
Go to St. Nicholas' Church. Located near the bridge, this is a museum that used to be a church. There are many fascinating paintings and art collections displayed here. Be sure to check out the three massive panels, "Three Three Marys at the Tomb," "The Sealing of the Tomb" and "The Ascension."

Step 5
Relax at Dyrham Park. This is a lovely seventeenth century mansion that is located amidst over two-hundred and fifty acres of gardens and parkland. The views are absolutely stunning. Upon entrance to the mansion, visitors will be delighted by the paintings, fine furniture and decor.
