Easter bunnies can be seen in department stores about a month before Easter. Children can climb on the Easter bunny's lap and get their pictures taken. Most Easter bunnies pass out a piece of candy to give children a taste of what is to come. After your children have an encounter with the Easter Bunny, you can help them remember the occasion by creating a craft. A paper plate Easter Bunny is perfect because it is so affordable to make and easy for small children to work on.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper plate
  • Scissors
  • Paints
  • Paintbrush
  • Felt
  • Glue
  • Pencil
  1. Step 1

Take out one paper plate and lay it flat on a table.

  2. Step 2

Draw a picture of the Easter bunny on the paper plate with your pencil. Don't use a pen in case you make a mistake. You can choose to create a bunny like the picture, or you can make a picture of the Easter bunny you see in department stores.

  3. Step 3

Cut out the Easter bunny with your scissors.

  4. Step 4

Paint the Easter bunny. You are going to add clothes later, but it is important that you paint the whole Easter bunny and give him a face.

  5. Step 5

Set the bunny out to dry for about 1 to 2 hours.

  6. Step 6

Cut out an outfit for the Easter bunny with your felt. Use a measuring tape if you need to. You should give the Easter bunny a shirt and a pair of pants. These could be overalls. You may also want to give the Easter bunny a tie or a hat.

  7. Step 7

Glue the outfit to the paper plate Easter bunny.

  8. Step 8

Give the outfit some time to dry before you play with it.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add a strip of magnet to the back of the bunny so you can hang it on the refrigerator as a decoration.
  • Use age appropriate scissors to lessen the chance of getting cut accidentally.
