In this day and age of health consciousness, many people don't care about variety in our breakfast cereals. They select only healthful cereals from the vast cereal aisle. But those who do miss out on so much. Picking cereals from the list of hundreds should be fun. And allowing your frame of mind to influence your choice will make it fun.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Procure a wide variety of cereals at the store. Buy a chocolate cereal such as Cocoa Pebbles, Cocoa Krispies or Cocoa Puffs. Purchase a fruity cereal such as Fruity Pebbles, Franken Berry or Trix. Snag an old-fashioned classic such as Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies or Cheerios. Get one healthful cereal, such as Nature Valley Granola or Smart Start. Take them all home and place them in your cupboard.

    One of these is bound to fit your mood in the morning.

    Read your mood when you awaken and open your cupboard. Do you feel giddy or silly? Pull out the Fruity Pebbles or Trix and pour yourself a bowl.

    Yank out the Cocoa Pebbles, Cocoa Krispies or Cocoa Puffs if you feel down in the dumps.

    Ask yourself if you feel like you're run down or out of shape. If the answer is "Yes," pull out the Nature Valley Granola or Smart Start , add some fruit and chow down. You will feel better about yourself.

    Choose Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies or Cheerios and understand that you're munching on a traditional favorite that Americans have been enjoying for well over a half-century.

Tips & Warnings
  • Variety is the spice of life. Select new cereals during every new trip to the store. Find out which ones you prefer and keep buying them, but continue to try new ones.
  • In some cases, health concerns do supercede other considerations. If you're worried about your heart, cut down on pre-sweetened cereals and eat only healthful ones. Cereals such as Cheerios and Smart Start are particularly good for the heart.
