Kids love sleepovers. However, if you are planning a sleepover, also plan on spending a few dollars. Kids are notorious for drinking and eating a lot of snacks at a sleepover

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Send invitations. Kids will love this.

  2. Step 2

Buy snacks. It is expected that whoever plans a sleepover will provide fun things to eat.

  3. Step 3

Rent movies. Comedy or scary movies are usually hits at sleepovers. Don't get something too scary, or the kids might not sleep at all.

  4. Step 4

Provide music. Make sure it's age-appropriate.

  5. Step 5

Talk to parents. Make sure you find out whether any of the kids are asthmatic or are allergic to anything, or if there are other conditions parents want you to follow. If they have to take medication, make sure that it is left with you or they take it before coming over.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remain calm. This is supposed to be an exciting time for your child, and if you remain calm then you can enjoy it a little bit, too.
  • If it's an event for girls, have some makeup and hair styling products ready. Girls love to have makevers.
  • Make sure that rules are set and all the kids know them.
  • Show them which rooms are off-limits and let them know if they are to stay inside.
  • Unless you enjoy a handful of kids bouncing off the walls, do not just have drinks loaded with caffeine.
  • Have some new toothbrushes on hand for those who forget to bring theirs.
  • You might also want to set out extra blankets and pillows for your sleepover guests.
  • If the kids are small, keep an eye on them while they eat. They could choke.
