Your personal web page is everything you want it to be. You have an avatar and some profile photos. Your interests and favorite causes are out there for all the world to see. All you need now is the right sound to set the tone for your blog.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to the Playlist website, either by clicking on "Create Your Free Playlist," on someone else's widget, or by typing the URL directly into your browser. Click the blue "Sign Up" button. Choose a username, give your email address, create a password, and then click "Create Account." Click "No Thanks, Continue to My Project Playlist Account," when the advertisement page displays.

  2. Step 2

Log into your new account. Begin searching for music by typing in a song or artist name. When the page loads, look at the songs listed and click the arrow symbol to listen and make sure it is the song you selected. This is important, as sometimes the song that comes up on the list is a cover by another artist, or an instrumental track. Sometimes the song has been re-engineered to make it an easy listening or club mix. If you have found the correct song, click on the "Plus" symbol to add the song to your playlist. Click "Continue," if you want to choose more songs, or click "Go to My Playlist," if you have selected all the songs you want.

  3. Step 3

Click, "Add Your Playlist to Your MySpace," then click "Next." Click on the correct button to get the code that is compatible with your chosen blog. You will be prompted to select your playlist. If you want your playlist to start automatically, click "Yes" for autostart. Be thoughtful of your readers and listeners if you choose "Yes." If you have songs with explicit lyrics or suggestive sexual content, do not use "Autostart," or at least provide an advance warning that the content is NSFW: Not Safe for Work. If you want the songs played in order, click "No," for random shuffle. You can also choose the color the widget will appear on your site, if you want it to be more or less noticeable. If you are satisfied with your choices, click "Get Code."

  4. Step 4

Copy the code and paste it into your site. Look at the player to be sure it appears where you want it to appear, and doesn't cause problems with your layout. Delete it and try again if it does not appear in the right place.

  5. Step 5

To add songs from a friend's playlist, simply click on the "Plus" sign next to the song title.

Tips & Warnings
