The most famous style of cheesecake is undoubtedly the New York Style Cheesecake. Here is a great recipe for making your own baked cheesecake. This recipe will make 16 servings. You can garnish with a can of cherry pie filling, which is optional in this recipe or other topping.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 Honey Graham Crackers, crushed
  • 1 cup plus 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 5 packages, 8 ounce cream cheese
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 can (20 ounces)cherry pie filling (optional)
  1. Step 1

    Heat oven to 325 degrees F. Line a 13x9-inch pan with foil. Mix crushed crumbs, 3 Tbsp sugar and butter: press into the bottom of the baking pan making a graham cracker crust. Bake for 10 minutes.

  2. Step 2

    Beat cream cheese, sugar, flour and vanilla until blended. Add sour cream; blend. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed until blended.

  3. Step 3

    Pour this mixture on top of the crust when it comes out of the oven. Place in the oven for an additional 40 minutes or until center is almost set. Cool completely. Refrigerate 4 hours.

    Use the foil lining to lift cheesecake from pan.

  4. Step 4

    Top with pie filling and serve. Makes 16 servings.
