Here is a great idea for the day after Thanksgiving. A new twist on your old turkey sandwich. Enjoy!

Difficulty: Easy

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 soft French rolls
  • olive oil
  • 1/4 cup cranberry relish or chutney
  • 8 oz. cooked and sliced (leftover)turkey
  • 2 oz ham, thinly sliced
  • Fresh baby spinach leaves, parsley, or sage leaves
  • 8 oz mozzarella or cheddar cheese.
  1. 1

Slice the rolls horizontally and brush the sides with the olive oil. Spread 1 tablespoon of the cranberry relish on the bottom havles of the roll. (or more if you like)

  2. 2

Layer the spinach, (&/or the other greens)turkey, ham, and cheese on the rolls. Place tops of rolls on top.

  3. 3

Preheat covered indoor grill, or if it's warm enough outside, use your outdoor grill. (ok, I live in TX. it is warm here even in November sometimes!) Place sandwiches in grill. Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until the cheese melts and the rolls become crispy.

  4. 4

Eat it up and savor the complements!

Tips & Warnings

  • You could use a skillet on your stove top and press it down with your spatula if you want to skip the whole grill part.
