Import Digital Pictures in Kid Pix

Kid Pix is a great program for young students. One of my favorite projects in Kid Pix is to import digital pictures into the kids projects and have them draw themselves in front of thematic backgrounds such as the Pyramids and Plymouth Rock. Here are the steps.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Open Kid Pix.

  2. Step 2

Click on Backgrounds in the upper left-hand corner.

  3. Step 3

Click on the iPhoto logo to access your iPhoto libraries. The photos must be in your iPhoto library for Kid Pix to find them.

  4. Step 4

Find the picture you would like to use.

  5. Step 5

Decide if you want to stretch it out or fill the screen.

  6. Step 6

Import the picture and then have the student draw over it. If it is a picture you want other students to use, you can add it to the Kid Pix background images.

  7. Step 7

Do not limit yourself to the pictures that you have taken yourself. Use google images to find pictures of just about anything you could ever want!
