Quick Easy Dessert
Quick Easy Dessert

Although more of a "summer" dessert, it's really good anytime of the year. This is a refrigerated dessert that is always better the 2nd or 3rd day. In my recipe below, I didn't specify the amount of berries. Depending on your taste, use how ever much you want. Use any kind of fruit you like in this dessert. See Tips at bottom of article before getting started.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 box of yellow or white cake mix and the ingredients specified for that cake (eggs, butter, etc.)
  • 2 jars of marshmallow cream
  • 2 blocks of softened cream cheese
  • 2 containers of strawberry glaze
  • Strawberries
  • Blackberries
  • Raspberries
  • 1 large container of cool whip
  1. Step 1

Bake cake using directions on box. Allow to cool completely. Transfer the cake to whatever dish your dessert will be presented in)

  2. Step 2

In a bowl, add cream cheese and marshmallow cream and mix well on low to medium speed. Set aside.

  3. Step 3

Now spread the marshmallow cream cheese mixture on top of the cooled cake. After that take a spoon or fork and break up the cake into chunks. The reason I do this after I add the marshmallow cream cheese mixture is because it's too hard to spread this once the cake is broken up ---but it can be done:)

  4. Step 4

Next take the strawberry glaze and pour over cake and marshmallow cream cheese

  5. Step 5

With the berries washed and ready, toss onto the "glaze" layer and cover berries with cool whip. Add more berries on top of cool whip if desired.

Tips & Warnings
  • Any white or yellow cake mix will work. Just be sure to follow the directions of the box and the cake ingredients that particular box calls for
  • If you don't want to bother with baking a cake, substitute a pound cake or angel food cake from the bakery.
