Soy candles do come in ALL colors!

Soy candles last longer and hold their fragrance better than most other candles. They are beautiful and eco-friendly. If you want a candle that can create the ambiance you want with no waste or pollution in your home or in its crafting, choose a soy candle!

Shop for candles in any color or container. Soy candles are handmade with care and should be certified pesticide free.

Make sure your soy candle says 100% soy or 100% natural wax which can include palm and coconut wax. Otherwise you can have paraffin or synthetic materials being used with only a little soy.

  3. Step 3

Soy candles, unlike most other candles, do not release soot or carcinogenic compounds into the air you breathe.

  4. Step 4

Most are made with pure fragrances and essential oils and are perfect for aromatherapy. They keep their scent better than other candles, too. Check into the many fragrances available for the scents you like best, or seek out the scents that will make you feel best.

  5. Step 5

Aromatherapy can help you feel better. Some examples to keep in mind when choosing a scent are that the scents of rose, lavender and chamomile help relieve stress, concentration is improved with bergamot, orange, and lemongrass, and scents like peppermint, cinnamon and rosemary are great for energy. Try sandalwood or vanilla to encourage romance. There are many more scents and you can combine them for more specialized effects.

  6. Step 6

Keep wicks trimmed so the flame does not smoke.

  7. Step 7

As with any candle, do not leave it burning when you are not around or asleep. Keep it away from curtains and other flammable materials. Keep pets and children away. And use a candle-snuffer to blow out your candles.
