This article shares some simple tips for making eating out with kids affordable!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

There are several restaurants where kids eat for free! Check out these websites:
    www.kidseatfree.com
    www.kidseat4free.com
    www.kiddiemenu.com

Use an internet search engine to search websites specific to your area as well. The yellowpages and the newspaper are good places to look for specials and coupons.

  2. Step 2

Very young children can eat from their parents meals, eliminating the need to order a kids meal.

If you have more than one child, consider splitting one meal between them. Most young children do not eat an entire meal on their own and many restaurants will even divide the meal on two separate plates.

  3. Step 3

Consider side dishes as meals for the children. Sometimes the side dishes are less expensive and have more choices available, including healthy vegetables.

  4. Step 4

Bring your own beverages for the kids or order water for them. Many restaurants charge a couple of dollars for just a cup of milk, which is almost as much as the childrens meal price.
