Things You'll Need:
- Shopping List
- Coupons
- Food storage containers
- Meal Maker Bins
-
Step 1
Take an inventory of your fridge and pantry.
Throw out any dated or spoiled items. -
Step 2
Make your List.
Plan a week's worth of meals and write down everything you'll need.
If you plan to shop at Walmart Super center you will most likely be able to get everything there. If not, use a separate list and purchase non-food items at a local discount store. The Dollar Tree is great for cleaning products! -
Step 3
Organize your pantry.
Try placing each non-perishable meal item into a bin or basket.
Do this for a week's worth of meals.
Label each bin using binder clips and index cards.
For Example: Chili, Meatloaf, Taco Salad, and so on. -
Step 4
Consider joining Sam's Club or Costco.
Buy items such as toilet paper, paper towels, pet food,
laundry detergent in bulk. Go once a month and stock up.
This action alone can pay for the membership.
Remember to fill up your gas tank before you leave.
