make Holiday Bahamian rum balls

This is an easy holiday treat. You can substitute the rum to your favorite. I like the Bahamian rum because it has a sweetness to it's taste. Just make sure you keep the kids away.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 cups crushed vanilla wafers
  • 1 cup of graham crackers
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup of chopped cashews
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dark cocoa
  • 1 tablespoons white corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of Bahamian rum
  1. Step 1

    Mix all the ingredients together

  2. Step 2

Shape into individual balls with a teaspoon or a fruit ball tool

  3. Step 3

Coat in (powdered) Confectioners Sugar, cover and store in your refrigerator for at least 24 hours allowing the rum to settle, then serve makes 14-16 balls.

Tips & Warnings
  • can make without the nuts
  • add sprinkles for the holidays in your powdered sugar
  • can increase, or decrease rum amount to your taste
