Connecting to the Spirit World
Connecting with the spirit world can help you find solutions to your most challenging problems or allow you to reconnect with loved ones who have died. Freeing your mind of all thoughts and being open to all that the spiritual world has to offer is the key to achieving a connection with the spirits. Almost everyone has some degree of psychic ability, but many turn their minds off to the possibility of communicating with another level of being and miss out on the opportunities such a connection brings.

Contact a medium. Mediums are practitioners who can receive messages from the spirits of the dead. Some mediums do this while fully awake, while others slip into a trance and have no recollection of anything that happened while in the trance. Mediums work with clients privately or participate in séances when several people are interested in contacting a particular spirit. You can search for a medium in your area on the Internet. Dig out your old Ouija board and see what happens. Ouija boards, also know as spirit boards, are flat tablets made of plastic, wood or chipboard. Printed on the board are the words “yes” and “no,” the letters of the alphabet and numbers. Participants lightly rest their hands on the planchette, a three-legged pointer is placed in the middle of the board. When a question is asked of the board, the planchette begins moving, either spelling out an answer or moving to “yes” or “no.”

Dream about the spirit world. Before go to bed, visualize connecting with the spirit world. Think about the emotions you will feel if you are successful. State your goal for the dream. “I would like to see my Uncle John,” might be your goal or “I would like to see myself solving my problem with my supervisor.” Go through this process every night before you go to sleep. It may take some time to see any results, but this most important thing that you can do to ensure success is to truly believe that it is possible.

Try automatic writing. Sit at a desk with a pen or pencil and clear your mind. Let your hand move of its own free will and don’t look at the paper. When the writing stops, you may see numbers, letters or even drawings. Automatic writing may take some time and may not work the first time you try it.

Dangle a pendulum to find the answers you’ve been seeking. You can buy a pendulum, use a necklace or even make your pendulum with a string and large paper clip. Before you begin asking questions, determine which way the pendulum will swing for “yes” and “no” answers. Simply ask the pendulum to show you its response to a “yes” question and note that direction. Do that same with a “no” question, then begin asking your questions.
