How to Make Non-Toxic Window Cleaners
You don't need any fancy glass cleaners to get a streak-free shine from your mirrors and windows. In the spirit of saving time, money and the environment, you can make a glass cleaner that works well and won't cause indoor air pollution. Combine equal parts water and vinegar. Use white distilled vinegar for any cleaning recipes unless otherwise noted.

Pour the mixture into a spray bottle. Spray the windows and wipe them clean with a paper towel or recycled newspaper.

Alternately, pour full-strength club soda into a spray bottle. Spray and wipe thr windows as before. Use this method if you dislike the smell of vinegar , even when used briefly.

Combine equal parts water and vinegar in a spray bottle for your third recipe.

Add 1 tsp. of mild liquid soap to the solution. The soap will cut grime that commercial cleaners have left on the glass.

Shake the bottle to distribute the soap evenly. Spray the surface and wipe clean.

Make all three solutions for different cleaning needs. Store them in a cool, dry place out of direct light. They will keep for about 2 weeks at a time.

Tips & Warnings
White distilled vinegar has many household uses. Use it to clean your automatic coffeemaker or shine wooden floors.
Do not overdo the liquid soap. If you use too much, you will get streaks and have to clean twice as hard.
