Click the "Download Now!" button and save the file to your desktop or to another easily accessible location.

    • 3

Run the program called "cdbxp_setup_4.2.2.984.exe" (the numbers at the end may be different depending on the current version).

    • 4

Install the ".Net Framework" if necessary. If the software says that you need to download the ".Net Framework," click "Yes" when prompted and proceed to the next section in this guide. Otherwise, skip to Section 3.

Click the link that says "Get the .Net Framework 3.5" in the Web browser window that opens after clicking "Yes" in the section above.

    • 6

Click the "Download" link on the following page, and choose to save the file when prompted on the following screen.

    • 7

Run the setup program called "dotnetfx35setup.exe." Accept the agreement and install the software.

    • 8

When you are finished, open "cdbxp_setup_4.2.2.984.exe" again. Install the software.

    Burn a Disc

    • 9

Open CDBurner XP and select the type of CD (audio, data, copy) you'd like to burn. Insert your blank disc if you haven't already done so.

    • 10

Drag music or files into the lower box on the screen.

    • 11

Click "Disc" from the top menu and select "Burn Disc" when you are ready to burn a CD.

Tips & Warnings

  • With data CDs, you can either finalize the session or leave the disc open for future changes. With music CDs, the default "Track at Once" option adds a second of silence between each track. Advanced options let you make each track run continuously into the next.

I don't know if my previous post posted as it took me to a page that said I had to log in. I did, but wasn't sure if after I did my message was posted. After I selected the media type, there was no box to click and drag to. As a mater of fact ,the screen couldn't be made smaller for me to be able to click and drag. You don't say whether you click "okay" or "open" after you select your media type. I selected okay and got a dialog box with the option of browsing for my selection, but no way to click and drag. You're missing a step or two.
