Instructions

    • 1

Draw a tear drop shape on the lightweight cardboard 3-inches wide by 5-inches long for the mouse body. Draw a tear drop 1 1/2-inches wide by 2-inches long for the mouse ear. Draw a tear drop 3/4-inch wide by 1-inch long for the mouse inner ear. Cut out all the pattern shapes.

    • 2

Trace the mouse body shape onto the back of the fake fur. Cut through the backing on the fur to cut out, being careful not to cut the fur.

    • 3

Apply glue to the back of the fur body and place it on top of the gray craft foam. Cut the foam using the fur body as a guide.

    • 4

Cut a 6-inch long piece from the pink pipe cleaner for the tail. Curl one end, leaving 4-inches straight. Part the fur on the rounded end of the mouse body and glue the straight end of the tail in the part. Fluff the fur back over the tail. The curl of the tail will become the fur mouse Christmas ornament hanger.

    • 5

Cut two 3-inch pieces of black embroidery floss. Hold the pieces together and tie an overhand knot in the center. Apply glue to the knot and place a 1/2-inch above the tip of the fur tear drop for the whiskers. Glue the pink pom pom over the knot.

    • 6

Glue two wiggly eyes a 1/4-inch apart above the nose.

    • 7

Draw two medium sized tear drops on the gray felt for the ears and cut out. Draw two small sized tear drops on the pink felt for the inner ears and cut out. Glue the pink inner ears at the point of the gray felt ears. Glue the ears to the fur mouse Christmas ornament a 1/2- inch above the eyes.

    • 8

Make a 3-inch bow using the 5/8-inch wide plaid Christmas ribbon. Glue the bow between the ears and the tail of the mouse. Allow the glue to dry.

Tips & Warnings

  • After cutting out the shapes that have been traced onto the felt, turn over so any markings will be on the back.
