Magic tricks are an inexpensive and easy way to entertain a crowd and amaze your friends. Coin tricks are among the classic magic tricks and they require very few supplies to pull off. Coin tricks are also a great way to win over any young child, especially if you give them the coin you pull out of their ear. If you would like to learn how to perform a few different coin tricks, follow the steps below.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Handkerchief
  • 2 Coins
  • Rubberband

    Coin Disappearing Under Handkerchief

  1. Step 1

Place a rubberband around your fingers, leaving your thumb out.

  2. Step 2

Place the handkerchief in the hand with the rubberband around the fingers.

  3. Step 3

Place the coin into the handkerchief with your other hand.

  4. Step 4

Secretly slide the rubberband from your fingers down to the handkerchief so that it will hold the coin in the handkerchief.

  5. Step 5

Shake the handkerchief and then lift it to show the audience that the coin has vanished.

  6. Moving a Coin From One Hand to the Other

  7. Step 1

Place a coin in each hand. Place the coin in one hand in the center of that hand, and the coin in the other hand on the outside of your palm, by your thumb.

  8. Step 2

Turn both hands over quickly, slamming them down on the table, or whatever flat surface is in front of you. During this process, the coin that was placed on the outer edge of one of your hands should be flicked over toward the other hand so that it lands underneath it.

  9. Step 3

Ask your audience where they think the coins are.

  10. Step 4

Lift your hands to reveal both coins under one hand.

  11. Pulling a Coin Out From Behind Someone's Ear

  12. Step 1

Place a coin in your elbow, with your hand pulled up to your shoulder.

  13. Step 2

Straighten your arm to reach behind someone's ear quickly, allowing the coin to slide down your arm to your hand before anyone can notice it.

  14. Step 3

Mention noticing something shiny behind the person's ear.

  15. Step 4

Catch the coin in your palm and then move your hand back from behind the person's ear so that they can see that you now have a coin in your hand.
