First, draw an oval shape, the longer end of the oval as the vertical. At the bottom of the oval, create the chin by making a narrow, round end.
-
2
Next, divide the oval with a line in the middle both vertically and horizontally. Below your horizontal line, draw the nose.

3
Slightly above the horizontal line, draw the eyes. Be sure to keep the eyes symmetrical and even in size; the face will look awkward if the eyes are disproportioned and not aligned. Once you have draw the eyes, draw two straight lines vertically from where the tear ducts would be, and have the lines end where the mouth will be drawn.
-
4
Once the eyes are done, draw the eyebrows. Eyebrows are best drawn with small, light, wavy lines.
-
5
Below the nose, draw the mouth. The mouth should end where you have drawn the two straight lines from step three. Using the lines as boundaries for your mouth helps keep the facial features proportioned.

6
Once you have finished the mouth, the ears are next. Ears are the most challenging of the facial features, because the details are so precise. The horizontal line should be the middle point of the ears. Begin by drawing ovals. After you established a basis for the ears, begin to shape the front end of the ovals into a smooth point.

Finally, draw the hair by using long smooth lines. Make sure to fill in the hair with light shading; not doing so will result in a poorly drawn face, unless you want the head to have little or no hair. You can also add any other features that you want, such as beauty marks, scars or piercings.

Erase all the guidelines you drew throughout the process.
