Things You'll Need:
- Baking soda
- Sponge
- Vinegar
- Towel
- Soft, clean rag
- Vegetable or olive oil
-
Step 1
Clear the sink of all dishes and wipe it down to eliminate debris.
-
Step 2
Sprinkle baking soda into the sink basin, lightly coating the bottom. Dampen the sponge with cool water and scrub the sink with the baking soda. Rinse completely when finished.
-
Step 3
Pour a small amount of vinegar onto the sponge and polish water spots. Vinegar also should be used to eliminate any gunk on the sink that was too tough for the baking soda treatment. Rinse the sink basin when finished.
-
Step 4
Use a kitchen towel to dry the sink. Pour a small amount of oil onto a soft, clean rag. Polish the sink with the oil until it shines, focusing particularly on dull spots.
-
Step 5
Repeat this process about one a month, or as often as necessary.
