How to Vote Absentee Ballot in Cook County, IL
Voting is a right for every citizen, even if you are out of the county or country, honoring a religious holiday or unavailable for a variety of other reasons. You can still vote by absentee ballot.

Make sure you are a registered voter. If not, register to vote.

Log into the Cook County Election Department website (see Resources below). On the menu bar, click on "Absentee." Then select the language you need your application in--English, Espanol or Chinese (symbols).

Print out the Absentee Ballot Application. Fill out the application and check the listed reason why you need to vote absentee.

Mail the completed form to the Cook County Clerk's Office. The address is provided on the bottom-left corner of the form.

The Clerk's Office will mail you the absentee ballot. Fill out the ballot and mail back to the Cook County Clerk's Office.
