Whether you just got a Myspace page, and you want to put your pictures up but have no idea how, or you have a Myspace page and the pictures you have up are sideways, or way too big. Whatever the case may be, this article will tell you how to re-size and rotate your pictures to make them look fabulous on your Myspace page.

Note: These instructions are written for use with Windows OS and Microsoft Paint.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Microsoft Windows OS
  • Microsoft Paint
  1. Step 1

First you need to locate your pictures on your PC. Most of the time you will find them in My Documents, My Pictures. After you've located your pictures, open MS Paint. Follow these instructions to open your picture file:
    1. Click File
    2. Click Open

At the top you should see a drop down menu named "Look in"
Click the arrow and choose the file your pictures are in.
(You might have to browse around a little to find the specific picture you want.)

    4. Once you find your picture, double click to select and edit it.

  2. Step 2

    To re-size and image:

    1. Click on Image
    2. Click on Stretch/Skew (Ctrl+W)
You will see two boxes, Horizontal and Vertical. Type in the percentage you want the picture to shrink in each box, then click OK. If the picture is really large, you will want the picture to shrink more. Usually shrinking the photo by 25% works well for Myspace on large pictures.
(You can always reverse your shinkage by following these steps:

    To undo shrinking:
    1. Click Edit
    2. Click Undo

  3. Step 3

    To Flip/Rotate a picture:
    1. Click Image
    2. Click Flip/Rotate (Ctrl+r)
    3. Here's the tricky part, you might have to keep flipping the picture depending on what angle the picture is already rotated. To make it easy, click rotate by angle, then click on 90 degrees. Keep flipping until it is at the angle you desire.

Once the photo looks perfect, save it by clicking on file, and then save. When adding the photo to your Myspace, make sure you remember where you saved it!

Tips & Warnings
  • You might want to give the edited photo a new name if you wish to keep the original photo at its original size.
