Be assured and confident in yourself
Make sure you feel good inside ( your interior self), that you have the right mindset before getting to work.
Try to have a little pep talk to yourself in the mirror, and describe your greatest qualities to yourself and speak good things over yourself. This makes you look positive, happy, and even attractive.

      Maintaining your focus:
Before going to work get yourself a picture out of a magazine and picture yourself in a position or a type of status you would like to attain. For example: You can cut out a business person, model, doctor or whatever occupation or status you would like to have and work toward this goal as you keep this in your mind.
Stay in this same mindset, because this allows no one to get you out of your element.

      Speak
I believe that a lot of people don't mean you any good for your life, however you can still acknowledge a person if you see them. Yet and still, I believe some people have different attitudes and mood swings so pay close attention and know when it is appropriate time to speak.

      Don't run to other coworkers
Remember we can get so caught up with catching up with coworkers about the latest talk!
Also know that when you are running to other coworkers and trying to achieve this objective of catching up with them, sometimes after you talk to them, they may not be interested in hearing things you have to say, and they were all for themselves.
To make your day effective and save yourself from all the pleasing and gaining their attention, just stay away and speak to them when the moment is right and appropriate!
Remember we don't want your day at work to get you out of your element!
Don't' discuss your personal business with anyone.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be respectful to everyone!

  • Also, they are not paying to become friends with your coworkers, if they have hired you to do a job perform with all excellence like no one else has ever done it! I promise you will be a pro at your job!

You're so right...it is about your mentality- sometimes you have to fake your way through it but the sentiments often catch up with the will.
