Chili is a great meal that can be easily made in a crock pot.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • crock pot
  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 2 large cans of diced tomatoes
  • 2 large cans of light red kidney beans-drained
  • 2 packages of chili mix
  • 2 green peppers diced
  • 2 onions diced
  • if mildly spicy, 4 medium sized jalapenos (or if really spicy-change to habaneros)
  • salt to taste
  • can add grounded red pepper for extra spice
  1. Step 1

    Plug in and set crock pot to low.

  2. Step 2

    Brown ground beef. Place in crock pot.

  3. Step 3

    Dice all vegetables, including jalapenos. Place in crock pot.

  4. Step 4

    Add drained kidney beans and tomatoes (DO NOT DRAIN TOMATOES).

  5. Step 5

    Add chili packages and other spices. Stir to mix all together

  6. Step 6

    Cook in crock pot for 6 to 8 hours and serve.

  7. Step 7

    When you serve, can add chopped onion, cheese, crackers, etc.
