First go to settings then "Bluetooth" and make sure Bluetooth is on your headset is paired with your phone. (As you can see I have an inexpensive Motorola H375 Bluetooth and it works just fine with it)

Last simply go to your iPod on your iPhone and play a song. Now push the home button (your music should still be playing). Now push the Phone button as if you were about to make a call and select the Voicemail option (you should now be hearing the music in your Bluetooth headset). Now double push the home button and you will be able to control your iPod in this mode. WOW!! They said it couldn’t be done.

Tips & Warnings
  • Thanks for viewing my eHow!
  • Although it isnt the best sound quality it works quite well. It also eats up the battery life of your iPhone and Bluetooth. Sorry I can’t help that.

on 7/20/2009 While searching the net for a possible way to listen to music through my bluetooth, I came across this. I thought this was a great tool. I was planning on buying stereo bluetooth headsets, but I won't. Click on this link to download it: http://www.allshadow.com/2007/12/30/listen-to-all-audio-through-your-bt-earpiece/

on 10/29/2008 If it doesnt work for you try to start from the beginning. The phones ability to beam the sound is only available if your music is already playing and while its playing you have go and choose your phone option and choose your voicemail option. Hope this is helpful.
