Things You'll Need:
- Urban Decay Primer Potion
- Eyeshadow
- Eyeshadow Brush
- Eyeliner (optional)
- Mascara to complete the look
-
Step 1
Buy a bottle of Urban Decay Primer Potion. This can be purchased online at UrbanDecay.com or Sephora.com.
-
Step 2
Make sure your hands are clean and open the bottle. Apply a glop on your eyelid with the wand. The secret to applying this product is to blend it on your eyelid with your fingertip not the applicator. Use your fingertip to evenly smooth the product all over your lid and up until you almost reach the browbone; use a little extra product if needed.
-
Step 3
Repeat on the other eye.
-
Step 4
Now you may want to apply just a little to under your eyes. This step is optional, you only need to do this if you will be applying eyeliner or eyeshadow under your eyes. For this step take the wand and apply an extremely small amount on your fingertip. Drag your finger under your eye. Don't use too much it will look crusty if you do.
-
Step 5
Allow to dry! This takes about 4 min for the product to fully dry. Look at your eyes every now and then as it's drying to make sure it's drying evenly. It can actually crease as it's drying sometimes, it this starts to happen gently blend in.
-
Step 6
Apply eyeshadow and eyeliner with a brush as you normally would. Because Urban Decay Primer Potion works so well I've found I can use any eyeshadow, no matter how cheap, and it will not crease. There are other eyeshadow primers out there but I haven't tried them as Urban Decay's works so well that I had no need to try others. Finish the look with mascara.

on 6/19/2009 There are several shadow primers on the market, but I hadn't heard of the Urban Decay line - sounds like it may be among the best!

on 6/6/2009 I'm going to try this. Currently, I use Mary Kay Eye Primer, but it still creases after about 4 hours. 5 stars!

on 6/5/2009 This sounds like it will save money, too, because we can wear cheaper eye shadow now. Thanks!
